Inexpensive interior design on a small budget

One of the pitfalls to avoid when it comes to interior decorating is spending too much money on embellishing your home. But you should know that there's decoration to suit every budget, and it's really not expensive.

One of the pitfalls to avoid when it comes to interior design is spending too much money on home improvements. Inexpensive interior design.

But you should know that there is inexpensive decorating to suit all budgets. Yes, all budgets!

If you don't have a lot of money, there's no need to spend a fortune on a pretty house.

Discover the formulas in interior and event decoration :

1. Inexpensive interior design: I think you should decorate to fit your pocket

If you have a budget of €20 a month to allocate to decorating your home, that's fine, just go with it.

Watch the episode ‘Maison Ditaba decorates a living room and an entrance hall’ :

And it is possible, I assure you. For inexpensive, low-budget interior decorating, it's all a question of organisation and patience. Do you know the expression ‘Rome wasn't built in a day’? You certainly have. For those who don't understand what it means, it simply means that it takes time to complete a low-cost, low-budget interior design project.

2. Here's another example to illustrate my point

A few years ago in my old house, I wanted to change the handles on all the doors. And I fell in love with a model of handle at Leroy Merlin. The only problem was that they were expensive and I had about ten door handles to change. I really wanted to treat myself with these handles, it was a case of ‘coup de coeur’, and I also felt that handles are an element of interior decoration that can really make a difference. I wanted them to be quite ‘posh’, you see.

Read the testimonials of those who have placed their trust in us:

Buying all ten pieces at once was really too expensive. So I said to myself, ‘There's no rush and my handles are all in good condition, even if I don't like them visually any more. So I'll buy them gradually’. So that's what I did. Every month I bought 2 pairs. And after 5 months I was able to change all the handles in the house, and that was it.

3. On the Insta account that I hunt for certain decorating items

Another thing, you've seen on my Insta account that I hunt for certain home decoration items on the ‘leboncoin.fr’ website. In fact, I realised that when I no longer needed a piece of furniture or an item of home decoration of any kind, I almost always turned to the leboncoin to sell it. In this way, I was enabling someone to benefit from a beautiful item, a decorative object in good condition, or sometimes almost new, at a very affordable price, for inexpensive, low-budget interior decoration.

4. I had an idea for a vase I wanted to put in my dining room

So one day I had an idea for an indoor vase that I wanted to put in my dining room. I imagined the shape, texture and colour, but I couldn't find it in the shops or it was much more expensive than I wanted to spend. So I said to myself: ‘Maybe I should look on leboncoin’. And bingo! I found the vase I was looking for, even more beautiful than I'd imagined, for a very small sum. Once again, for inexpensive, low-budget interior decoration.

That's right! I'm really pleased!

5. Buying second-hand items can be really useful and very economical

All you have to do is clean the object and disinfect it with vinegar, alcohol or even bleach, depending on the materials. You can also repaint it to give it the finish you're looking for, and change a few accessories like the drawer knobs, for example, and you've got yourself a unique piece that cost you next to nothing.

What's more, giving a second life to home furnishings that are sadly stored away in an attic is a simple way of consuming responsibly, because it helps to preserve our beautiful planet. It saves resources and limits waste production. So think about it.

6. A less expensive alternative is to shop at markets

Some markets are very interesting, where you can find household linen such as curtains, tablecloths, table runners and bed linen at very good value for money. Once again, for inexpensive, low-budget interior decoration.

Finally, I'm going to promote a few brands that you may know and where you can find some great bargains at very low prices: Action, Noz, Centrakor, Babou, Stockomani ...

So you've got no more excuses for creating a beautiful interior, with inexpensive, low-budget interior decorating ...

And if, despite all this advice, you just can't manage it, Maison Ditaba is here to help!

Take care of yourself and your home.

See you soon ✨ !
