Interior decorator Paris or expressing your well-being!

Marie-Laure, an interior decorator in Paris, answers 6 questions about interior and event design to guide towards the expression of your well-being!

« For me, designing is also a way to bring well-being into your life.  »

1. As a interior decorator Paris, what does decoration, designing mean to you?

For me, design represents several things. First of all, desining is an expression of oneself. The interior of a house, the materials, the colors, the arrangement of the rooms can give you an idea about the personality of the person who lives there. Or about his lifestyle.

A decorator at heart, I've always had an attraction for aesthetics and beauty. This led me to train in interior architecture and design. Interior decorator paris.

When a woman is vain about herself, if her interior, her furnishings, her renovation is unstructured or abandoned, you can be shocked by this discrepancy. When a woman is coquettish about herself, if her interior is unstructured or abandoned, we can be shocked by this discrepancy. Because we expect a flirty woman to live in a beautiful space, a beautiful architecture. For me, decorating is also a way to bring well-being into one's life. I'm a decorator at heart and I live in the Paris region.

When you are in a beautiful place, you feel good. Your mind rests, you feel relaxed. That's what it means to me to be a decorator or architect, which encompasses any project involving the renovation, fitting-out or architecture of a house, flat, practice, office, etc. I'm really a decorator at heart, living in the Paris region!

2. If you had to choose only one color to decorate a space what would it be?

Tough question, I like the color combination. But the question is asked so I will answer it. It would be white. If we consider that white is a color, but that's another debate.

White is the only color that can stand on its own. White brings light to the room, it gives volume, enlarges the space. And it is a color that is neither hot nor cold. Moreover, if it is well maintained, white gives a clean appearance.

The "all white" decoration, architecture or design is quite trendy, but I would even say that it is timeless. If you lack inspiration and are not sure of yourself, with white you can make a flawless. But be careful, there are many shades of white.

3. If you had to choose a room to decorate, which one would it be?

Without hesitation it would be the living room. Some call it the living room, or the room of life. It is the central room of a house or an apartment. It is the place where the family often meets, it is a place of sharing, exchange, conviviality. It is the place where we receive our friends and family.

It's the most important room in the house. All your guests do not see your room, but your living room does. So we should pay special attention to it.

Now I would add that no room in the house should be neglected, and that we should give a little personal touch to each room of the house.

4. What do you think is the most complicated part of designing?

The most complicated thing as a interior decorator in Paris or architecte, working on an architecture, renovation or fitting-out project for a house, flat, practice, office, etc, is having to make choices. You don't walk into a decorating store and buy everything you like. No. You have to choose colors and stay with those shades.

We must choose a dominant material and stick to it. So when we see an object of design that we like, as a designer or architecte, working on an architecture, renovation or fitting-out project for a house, flat, practice, office, etc, the question to ask ourselves is "will it fit well in my interior?" If the answer is obviously "no", you should not be stubborn.

5. Are you a trendy or timeless designer?

Completely timeless. I get tired of nature very quickly. So my personal choices in terms of design are most often towards pretty but simple objects.

Classic, good quality items that will last me a long time. I also appreciate current trends and some very design pieces, but that's not what characterizes me.

6. Where do you find your inspiration?

I look. I am by nature very curious and I am sensitive to what is visual. I like beautiful things. I look at a lot of inspirational photos for design. And I have a good visual memory. So everything I see can at some point inspire me.

Usually when I'm somewhere, I either appreciate the design that's there. If I don't like it, I automatically project myself on how I could transform this place, as a designer or architecte, working on an architecture, renovation or fitting-out project for a house, flat, practice, office, etc,. And that's when some of the things I've seen will come to mind. Simply put.

See you soon ✨!
